The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains impressive social media audience
The young golfer will have numerous high-profile cheerleaders as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
However she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face several the biggest names in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, particularly among younger fans.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
